This weekend I have been binge watching anything and everything “Geisha” related in programs. It is interesting to see how the culture has evolved, over time, to what it is now. The profession has always been shrouded in much controversy, with some believing that the Geishas are little more than high-class prostitutes. The Geisha has always and still is revered by Japan. We too, have such a fascination, with them, because the Geisha is as mysterious as she is beautiful. The documentaries that I watched took me on a rare journey into a hidden world traditionally closed to the western eye, where the rich traditions of Geisha bloom in the ancient capital of Japan’s Kyoto City.
The Geisha are part of a centuries old tradition that made them a vital part of that country’s society and history. There are a lot of misconceptions as to what Geishas are. I learned that the modern Geishas are usually hired to attend to guests, who are predominantly and traditionally male, during banquets, meals, parties, and other occasions or events where she demonstrates her skills through various avenues, such as dancing to music played on the shamisen, initiating games, the art of conversation, (no social media there..lol), and more. There is nothing sexual about them, as a lot of people think. They are very cultured female entertainers.
I found their world very interesting and enlightening. So I dug around in my inventory and made this look. A real life Geisha, would never dress like this, but hey, I live in Second Life, so this is my fantasy and romanticized look! Also, for those interested, there is an entire community of Geishas, within Second Life, as well!

The name of Chop Zuey’s incredible “Banka Mundi” Jewelry Set intrigued me, so I was curious if it has a meaning and it does! She is a Hindu goddess of the hunt and fertility. The Banka Mundi is worshiped for protection against the wild animals of the forests. It is also said to remove fear and provide fertility. Let the hunt begin!
Be a fashionista goddess in Chop Zuey Banka Mundi and let your hunt lead you to the Sense Event. It is available, there, until September 9th and later at the main store.

Recently, I was speaking with a, very dear real life, friend, who is newly married, complaining about her marriage. Lets forget that we, her friends, who love her, told her, she should think, a little bit more, about her choice. She called him a “snake” and it just reminded me that among the flowers, there are always snakes!

Spring and Summer 2018 collections strutted many a translucent, statement making dress down the catwalk! Transparency is trending big, in dresses, skirts, coats. both in real and in Second Life. It is not just about wearing see through fashions, but also what is also beneath. The designs, in most collections, showed either a full panty or shorts beneath. Why be naked, when you can tease a look…it is all about the packaging!
Here is a real life example of Prabal Gurung, that you can easily duplicate in Second Life. Picture is from Getty Images.
